Update 9:00 p.m.: The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office (JSO) announced the arrest of 42-year-old Dawn Lipford on Friday evening.<\/p>\n
According to JSO, their Vice Unit detectives worked with ACPS in identifying who was responsible for leaving Miracle in such terrible condition.<\/p>\n
JSO says they received numerous tips from social media and other sources. Detectives quickly identified Lipford as the suspect and she was arrested for felony animal cruelty on Friday night.<\/p>\n
An arrest has been made in connection with the case of a severely emaciated Great Dane<\/a> who was found in Jacksonville and later died despite rescue efforts.<\/p>\n Jacksonville\u2019s Animal Care & Protective Services (ACPS) and the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office collaborated on the investigation, which led to the arrest.
