Fence and construction equipment surrounds site<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaxdailyrecord.com\/news\/2026\/aug\/28\/demolition-okd-for-regency-square-mall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.jaxdailyrecord.com\/news\/2026\/aug\/28\/demolition-okd-for-regency-square-mall\/\">Jacksonville Daily Record<\/a>, the city issued a permit for Realco Recycling Co. Inc. to demolish the East Mall between Impact Church and the former JCPenney department store.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Work likely will start next week to take down the building.
