According to a prepared statement, the system is &#8220;designed to help surgeons treat complex fractures and traumatic injuries of the pelvis and acetabulum more efficiently.&#8221; Dr. Hassan R. Mir, the director of Orthopaedic Trauma Research at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, led the procedure.
