Man struck by lightning while fishing in Stuart<\/p>\n
A man was struck by lightning while fishing near SandSprit Park in Stuart, Martin County Fire Rescue said. <\/p>\n
The incident happened about six miles offshore around 1 p.m. while three people were trolling, a fishing method where lines are slowly dragged through the water. Lightning struck their outrigger, disintegrating the rod. <\/p>\n
The man told paramedics he felt the lightning strike hit his head. <\/p>\n
