JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A young boy found alone early Sunday morning was safely reunited with his family, the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n
Officers found the child around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Old Kings Road South and Baymeadows Road. <\/p>\n
He appeared to be 5 to 7 years old and was carrying a blanket decorated with an outer space design, JSO said.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office launched a search for anyone who might know the boy\u2019s identity as they worked to locate his parents or guardians.<\/p>\n
By 4:55 a.m., the sheriff\u2019s office announced the child had been identified and reunited with his family.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreat news! We have identified this child and reunited him with family. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word!\u201d JSO said.<\/p>\n
