In advance of next week’s solemn acknowledgement of the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, “Aftermath” features 28 of the artist’s large-scale color photographs that capture the horrifying scope of the Twin Towers’ collapse, the heroic rescue efforts of first responders, and the cleared bedrock of the site after nine months of work. As one of the first documentarians of the historic event, Meyerowitz saw his photographs tour more than 200 cities in 60 countries in a traveling exhibition organized by the U.S. State Department. Last year, he gifted the images to the NSU Art Museum, where they opened last weekend and will exhibit through Feb. 14.

THURSDAY

What: Blues Traveler & Gin Blossoms

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Hard Rock Live, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood

Cost: $72.20 and up

Contact: 866/502-7529, ticketmaster.com

For a band that called itself Blues Traveler, John Popper’s harmonica-driven folk-rock outfit largely avoided the genre in its name for upwards of 30 years of crafting Grammy-winning hits and becoming a mainstay on pop stations. Now based in South Florida thanks to his receiving the prestigious U.S. O-1 Visa for Extraordinary Ability, Shalev will flex that ability at this eclectic show at Arts Garage, which combines magic, mentalism, music, and standup comedy. He might even eat fire, a rather cringe-y specialty from past gigs.
