{"id":386513,"date":"2026-08-31T21:48:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T21:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386513\/"},"modified":"2026-08-31T21:48:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T21:48:09","slug":"man-accused-of-injuring-3-during-high-speed-pursuit-on-i-95-makes-court-appearance-wsvn-7news-miami-news-weather-sports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386513\/","title":{"rendered":"Man accused of injuring 3 during high-speed pursuit on I-95 makes court appearance &#8211; WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MIAMI (WSVN) &#8211; A 24-year-old man accused of driving recklessly on Interstate 95 faced a judge on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tykwon Laster faces several charges, including reckless driving and leaving the scene of a crash involving injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies witness Laster driving at a high rate of speed on the shoulder on Interstate 95, passing all stopped traffic. At one point, he nearly crashed into another car.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon reaching the 79th Street exit, deputies conducted a traffic stop but Laster continued driving at a high rate of speed and recklessly until he crashed into a vehicle, causing a T-bone collision. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The subject\u2019s car tires became airborne due to the crash and hit two additional vehicles. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, the subject was able to get out of his car and fled the scene on foot, according to deputies. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, Laster was arrested. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries as a result of the crash. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laster\u2019s bond was set at approximately $21,000.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
