{"id":386533,"date":"2026-08-31T22:12:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T22:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386533\/"},"modified":"2026-08-31T22:12:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T22:12:11","slug":"man-shoots-victim-while-recording-videos-at-north-bay-village-airbnb-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386533\/","title":{"rendered":"Man shoots victim while \u2018recording videos\u2019 at North Bay Village Airbnb, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0August 31, 2026 at 2:03 PM<\/p>\n<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Updated:\u00a0August 31, 2026 at 2:10 PM<\/p>\n<p>lead-art-block.fullscreen-enterExpand<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/HHFXZDZI5JGXJD3XGQSA6WC4EQ.jpg\"  width=\"720\" height=\"405\"\/>Myles Bethel (MDCR) <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">NORTH BAY VILLAGE, Fla. \u2014 North Bay Village police said a man shot and wounded a victim as the two were \u201clistening and singing to music while recording videos\u201d at an Airbnb early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/31\/hombre-dispara-y-hiere-a-una-persona-mientras-grababan-videos-en-un-airbnb-de-north-bay-village-segun-la-policia\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2026\/08\/31\/hombre-dispara-y-hiere-a-una-persona-mientras-grababan-videos-en-un-airbnb-de-north-bay-village-segun-la-policia\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the North Bay Village Police Department, the shooting happened within a unit at the Bayshore Yacht &amp; Tennis Club condominium building at 7904 West Drive on Harbor Island.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">NBVPD officers responded just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of the shooting and arrested Myles Jerami Bethel, 23, of Miramar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They said multiple people were staying inside of the short-term rental. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to police, one witness said as he was sitting on the couch as Bethel and the victim recorded videos he \u201cheard a loud bang and saw a flash,\u201d causing him to look up and see Bethel holding a gun and the victim \u201cdrop to the floor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">An NBVPD report states that the witness saw a pool of blood after the victim rolled over and had a panic attack and went out to the balcony. That man\u2019s girlfriend told police she was in the bedroom at the time and heard the bang and screams and called 911. Police said she told Bethel to apply pressure to the victim\u2019s wound.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said they were unable to speak to the victim, who was in surgery.
