{"id":386679,"date":"2026-09-01T01:12:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T01:12:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386679\/"},"modified":"2026-09-01T01:12:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T01:12:10","slug":"oviedo-city-council-orders-immediate-removal-of-flock-cameras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/386679\/","title":{"rendered":"Oviedo City Council orders immediate removal of Flock cameras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oviedo City Council orders immediate removal of Flock cameras<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/793f47c8-6ef6-41d4-b0de-fb642812c23f_1774634837.file.png\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" alt=\"Madilyn Destefano\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>OVIEDO, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">Oviedo City Council opted for the immediate removal of Flock cameras Monday night during a work session.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">This comes after the Florida Department of Transportation released a memo in which it ordered the removal of license plate readers on all state-maintained roads. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">Other cities and counties across the state have followed, announcing the shutdown of all license plate readers.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">Council approved a lease agreement with Flock in September 2025 for eight license plate readers.
