Pete Sanchez, a Miami Fire Rescue spokesman, said. Authorities also found a 15-year-old boy with a laceration to the hand. They were both taken to a hospital in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sanchez referred other questions to Miami-Dade Schools Police Department Executive Officer Jandro Suarez, who didn&#8217;t immediately respond Monday night to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Miami-Dade County Public Schools is aware of an &#8220;incident involving students at one of our high schools,&#8221; and it was addressed by school administration and police, resulting in criminal charges, school district spokesperson Elmo Lugo said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Neither of the teenagers injured in the stabbing were identified. It&#8217;s unclear who is facing charges and for what alleged crimes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;The district takes the safety and well-being of our students and staff very seriously and remains committed to maintaining a secure school environment for all,&#8221; Lugo said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two students were injured Monday after a stabbing at Miami Northwestern Senior High, according to authorities.
