We will see more typical sea breeze storms through tomorrow, however, a plume of deep tropical moisture associated with Dolly\u2019s remnants will send our rain chances even higher heading into the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750183\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for today, scattered showers and storms will be around throughout the day, with the best chance being in the afternoon. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750184\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The remnants of Dolly \u2014 which is now a tropical wave \u2014 will push across Florida on Thursday into Friday, which will send our rain chances even higher heading into the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750185\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Fall front sweeping across the eastern United States will trap even more moisture over Florida, which will keep us very wet through Labor Day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750186\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once it\u2019s all said and done, Florida will see widespread rainfall totals of 2 \u2013 4\u2033 with isolated totals much higher. Flash flooding could occur any day through Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2_2a18a4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1749770\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, the Holiday weekend is looking wet with storms likely each day and highs around 90. I would have backup plans indoors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750187\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TROPICAL UPDATE:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tropical Storm Edouard formed in the Northern Gulf yesterday evening.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/1_a9a776.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750200\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Hurricane Center calls for Edouard to make landfall near the Texas and Louisiana border this afternoon. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/2_187613.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1750201\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edouard is in a very favorable environment with water temps near 90 degrees and very low shear, significant strengthening to near-hurricane intensity is possible. A hurricane watch has been issued from High Island, Texas to Cameron, Louisiana.
