PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 Port St. Lucie Police say they’re searching for two suspects on the run after a violent home invasion on SW Coleman Avenue Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Police said the suspects – one of them armed with a gun – forced their way into a home while a woman was inside.<\/p>\n

It’s me’: Times Square campaign to lure NYC firms to Palm Beach County<\/a><\/p>\n Officers arrived on scene shortly after 2 p.m. following reports of an armed home invasion in progress.<\/p>\n Investigators said the woman was home alone when the suspects allegedly got away with some cash and took off in a maroon SUV.<\/p>\n “Unfortunately, she did have to go through a traumatic experience but we’re very glad she was uninjured,” said Master Sgt. Dominick Mesiti with the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD).<\/p>\n There was a heavy police presence on the street. Investigators spent four hours collecting evidence, talking to neighbors, and tracking down surveillance images.<\/p>\n Chris Santiago, who lives a few doors down, said his ring doorbell picked up the getaway car.<\/p>\n “It’s unbelievable. This is a quiet neighborhood. Everybody knows each other,” Santiago said. “[It’s] very scary. I got a newborn, like two months ago she was born, and I got my four-year-old son, and I have to protect my family.”<\/p>\n The suspects were last seen wearing all black – black hoodies, gloves and masks. Police say they are males. Their ages are unknown.<\/p>\n Until they’re caught, neighbors say they’re not taking any chances.<\/p>\n “Make sure you lock the doors, lock the windows,” Santiago said. “Make sure everything is right. That way, don\u2019t give them a chance to get in.”<\/p>\n Police say don’t approach the suspects if you see them.
