{"id":388321,"date":"2026-09-02T14:30:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T14:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/388321\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T14:30:15","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T14:30:15","slug":"two-17-year-olds-arrested-after-fight-led-to-shooting-in-hialeah-cops-say-nbc-6-south-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/388321\/","title":{"rendered":"Two 17-year-olds arrested after fight led to shooting in Hialeah, cops say \u2013 NBC 6 South Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two teenagers have been charged with attempted murder in a shooting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/hialeah-school-placed-on-lockdown-as-police-respond-news-south-florida-miami-dade-broward\/3853424\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">that prompted a massive police response in Hialeah on Tuesday.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Police said officers responded to reports of gunfire at around 2:36 p.m. at the Aquabella community at 11181 West 35th Way. <\/p>\n<p>Investigators determined that &#8220;the altercation began when multiple individuals met at the location to resolve an ongoing dispute through a pre-arranged physical fight,&#8221; police said. <\/p>\n<p>During the fight, someone took out a handgun and fired multiple shots, authorities said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Witness statements and physical evidence revealed that the gunshots were directed at a victim who was fleeing on foot, as well as toward an occupied black Chevy Tahoe attempting to leave the scene,&#8221; police said. <\/p>\n<p>A round did strike the driver&#8217;s side of the vehicle, but no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Cellphone video captured how officers with their guns drawn detained at least two people at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Residents said investigators went from apartment to apartment looking for someone, and video also shows officers inside one woman&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the suspects, who NBC6 is not identifying because they are minors and not charged as adults, were arrested Wednesday morning.
