\nRegistration is now open for the inaugural VX One World Championship, which will bring the world’s best VX One sailors to Miami, Florida, from 5 to 10 April 2027. \n<\/p>\n


\nHosted by Shake-A-Leg Miami in Coconut Grove, the championship marks a major milestone for the international class and will bring together VX One teams from across the globe for four days of world championship racing on Biscayne Bay. \n<\/p>\n

The championship will cap an exceptional 10-day Miami racing window for the class, with teams able to compete in the Bacardi Invitational Regatta before moving directly into the Worlds programme.<\/p>\n


\nThe VX One fleet will join the J\/70, Melges 24 and Snipe classes for three days of racing and Bacardi’s famous shoreside hospitality before teams turn their attention to the inaugural world title. \n<\/p>\n


\nThe schedule provides an ideal lead-in to the championship, giving international and local teams the opportunity to race, train and fine-tune on the Worlds racecourse immediately before the main event. \n<\/p>\n


\nOfficial registration and measurement for the VX One World Championship will begin on Monday 5 April, followed by a practice race and welcome function on Tuesday 6 April. \n<\/p>\n


\nWorld championship racing will take place from Wednesday 7 April through to Saturday 10 April, when the inaugural VX One World Champions will be crowned. \n<\/p>\n


\nCoconut Grove in Miami is recognised as one of North America’s premier sailing destinations, offering warm water, reliable breeze and the world-class sailing infrastructure of Biscayne Bay. \n<\/p>\n


\n“Miami is the Mecca of Sailing in the winter time in the USA – amazing conditions, and a great venue that’s surrounded by a great village in Coconut Grove with restaurants, food and the social environment. It’s got the trifecta – talent, conditions, and destination. We can’t ask for more. \n<\/p>\n


\nWe’ve arranged the worlds to take place in April directly after Bacardi, which is one of our largest events every year. We are expecting 55 to 65 boats for both events. \nStorage and logistics \n<\/p>\n


\nStorage for the VX One fleet during the Bacardi Invitational Regatta will be based at Coconut Grove Sailing Club. The reservation link will be emailed directly to registered competitors when bookings open. \n<\/p>\n


\nWorld Championship storage will be based at Shake-A-Leg Miami, with spaces allocated on a first-registered, first-served basis. Teams are encouraged to register early. \n<\/p>\n


\nYachtics, the official logistics and transportation partner of the Bacardi Cup and Bacardi Invitational Regatta, offers secure indoor storage seven miles from Coconut Grove, as well as local pickup, delivery and regatta staging.
