Authorities responded to several vehicles that were broken into in a gated community in Northwest Miami-Dade, according to victims and video of the scene.

It happened at the Corinthians Apartments off of Northwest 22nd Avenue near 79th Street in the Gladeview neighborhood.

Video shows several cars with the windows smashed, surrounded by glass and debris.

Some residents said they were woken up on Thursday by officers who gave them the news.

“We haven’t had this situation before, so it’s pretty scary to see this. It’s about 20 different cars in total. We had some of our baby’s stuff stolen from the car, which is unfortunate,” one man said.

NBC6 has reached out to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office for more information.
