{"id":389535,"date":"2026-09-03T19:30:41","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T19:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/389535\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T19:30:41","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T19:30:41","slug":"accused-super-speeder-in-florida-arrested-on-interstate-95","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/389535\/","title":{"rendered":"Accused &#8216;Super Speeder&#8217; in Florida Arrested on Interstate 95"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.bocaratontribune.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/police-1.jpg?fit=1200%2C800&amp;ssl=1\" data-caption=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/police-1.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"Police\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A man accused of driving 111 mph on Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County was jailed in connection with the \u201csuper speeder\u201d law, according to an arrest affidavit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raymundo Sanchez Polanco, of Miami, was arrested Aug. 28 on a dangerous and excessive speeds charge by a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trooper about 7:44 p.m. reported traveling north on I-95 between Okeechobee Road and Orange Avenue and seeing a Ford Explorer make an improper lane change at speeds greater than the limit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A radar device measured the speed at 101 mph in a 75 mph zone before the Ford\u2019s speed increased to 111 mph, the affidavit shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u201csuper speeder\u201d law went into effect in July 2025, and makes it a misdemeanor to travel 50 mph or more over the posted limit or travel 100 mph anywhere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trooper stopped the sport utility vehicle just south of Orange Avenue.
