Federal Highway, bringing its combination of Spanish and Portuguese wines, playful food, and late-night programming to Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n<p>The 1,400-square-foot location comes from co-owners Caroline Strauss and chef Ivan Barros, who have built a following for Magie through locations in Miami\u2019s Little River and Coconut Grove neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its focus on wine, Magie takes a decidedly unstuffy approach to the traditional wine-bar experience. Barros\u2019 snack menu includes caviar and dino nuggets, escargot, truffle grilled cheese, Caesar fries, and charcuterie boards.<\/p>\n<p>The wine program centers on a curated selection of bottles. The new location will also offer a daily happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m., along with a $35 two-hour bottomless wine option and $5 hot dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Magie\u2019s community-focused programming will make the trip north as well.
