TALLAHASSEE, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n
Florida’s sales tax holiday for hunting, fishing, and camping supplies is underway through the end of the year. <\/p>\n
From Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, the following qualifying items are exempt from sales tax: <\/p>\n
HuntingAmmunition Firearms Firearms accessories Barrels; cases or range bags; charging handles; cleaning kits; handguards; holsters; internal parts and components; magazines or other ammunition feeding devices or carriers; pistol grips; shooting chronographs; shooting mats, rests, or bipods; sights or optics; slides or cylinders; slings; stocks or braces; suppressors or silencers; and triggers. Bows and crossbows Bow and crossbow accessories Arrows, bolts, quarrels, quivers, releases, sights
or optics, and wrist guards. Camping and fishing<\/p>\n
$10 or less <\/p>\n
Bait or fishing tackle if sold individually ($20 or less if multiple items are sold together)<\/p>\n
$30 or less <\/p>\n
Flashlights Camping lanterns Tackle boxes or bags <\/p>\n
$50 or less <\/p>\n
Camping stoves Collapsible camping chairs Portable hammocks Sleeping bags <\/p>\n
$75 or less <\/p>\n
Rods and reels if sold individually ($150 or less if sold as a set) <\/p>\n
$200 or less <\/p>\n
The sales tax holiday doesn’t apply to rentals or repairs, nor will it work when trying to buy things in theme\/amusement parks, public lodging establishments, entertainment complexes, or airports, according to the Florida Department of Revenue. <\/p>\n
