ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. \u2014 A Central Florida neighborhood is honoring the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a striking display of nearly 3,000 American flags.<\/p>\n

A viewer shared photos with Channel 9 showing 2,977 flags lining Academy Oaks Place in Altamonte Springs.<\/p>\n

A sign posted with the display explains that each flag represents one of the 2,977 people killed in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.<\/p>\n

2,977 flags line Altamonte Springs street in tribute to 9\/11 victims <\/p>\n

The flags stretch along the neighborhood street, creating a memorial ahead of the 25th anniversary of 9\/11.<\/p>\n

The display honors those killed at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and aboard the four hijacked planes.<\/p>\n

The viewer who shared the photos described the memorial as an \u201camazing tribute\u201d to the victims.<\/p>\n

The United States will mark 25 years since the attacks on Friday, Sept. 11.<\/p>\n
