West Miami, FL – A police pursuit in West Miami ended with a truck damaged near railroad tracks and its driver taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Officers arrested a driver Saturday after he allegedly fled a traffic stop and crashed near the railroad tracks off Northwest 12th Street, according to the West Miami Police Department.<\/p>\n
Police said officers attempted to stop the truck after observing what they described as reckless driving. <\/p>\n
Authorities did not disclose where the attempted traffic stop began or what behavior initially attracted officers\u2019 attention.<\/p>\n
The driver allegedly accelerated away during the encounter and nearly struck an officer with the vehicle. <\/p>\n
Police pursued the truck until the driver lost control and crashed near the tracks.<\/p>\n
Video recorded after the collision showed the damaged vehicle positioned across the railroad area. <\/p>\n
Police did not report any injuries involving officers, the driver or other motorists.<\/p>\n
