The latest criminal case against rapper Kodak Black was dismissed Tuesday in Broward after a judge granted the defense motion involving a charge of fleeing and eluding law enforcement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Pompano Beach native, whose real name is Bill Kapri, won his case in court Tuesday when a judge dismissed the charge.<\/p>\n

The allegations date back to February when a Broward Sheriff\u2019s deputy pulled up behind Kapri, who was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee along Northwest 18th Avenue and MLK Jr. Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Court documents said the deputy called out to Kapri, saying “what\u2019s going on boss? You good?” and Kapri responded “fine” and drove away from the scene.<\/p>\n

“The deputy did not request Kapri\u2019s license, did not request a copy of insurance, did not step away from his patrol vehicle to engage with Kapri or give a lawful order in any meaningful way,” the motion to dismiss said.<\/p>\n

Kodak Black has been in an out of custody several times in recent years on drug charges and for violating conditions of pre-trial release.<\/p>\n

He has one pending case out of Orange County<\/a> where he\u2019s accused of drug possession.
