{"id":394373,"date":"2026-09-09T03:30:14","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T03:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/394373\/"},"modified":"2026-09-09T03:30:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T03:30:14","slug":"youtuber-jack-doherty-pushed-girlfriend-put-hands-around-her-neck-arrest-report-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/394373\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTuber Jack Doherty pushed girlfriend, put \u2018hands around her neck,\u2019 arrest report says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. \u2014 A Fort Lauderdale police report released on Tuesday reveals the accusations that led up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/09\/04\/youtuber-jack-doherty-arrested-on-domestic-battery-charge-in-fort-lauderdale\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/local\/2026\/09\/04\/youtuber-jack-doherty-arrested-on-domestic-battery-charge-in-fort-lauderdale\/\">Friday\u2019s domestic violence arrest<\/a> of YouTuber Jack Doherty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the dispute happened just before noon at a home in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court in the city\u2019s Riverside Park neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The FLPD report states that Doherty, 22, had been in an argument with his girlfriend that became physical. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said Doherty \u201cmoved quickly towards her and got in her face,\u201d prompting her to use her arm \u201cto make distance\u201d between the two, giving Doherty \u201ctwo scratch marks\u201d on his face and collarbone. Officers said surveillance video \u201cconfirmed the series of events.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the report, the woman told officers that the argument continued after she went upstairs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The woman said Doherty was \u201cangry\u201d over her \u201cwanting to leave,\u201d so he \u201cpushed her to the ground and used his hands around her neck to briefly pin her to the ground,\u201d the report states.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said Doherty\u2019s girlfriend remained able to breathe. They said she grabbed a gun from the bedside table and \u201cheld it by her side,\u201d telling Doherty, in fear, that \u201cshe will shoot him if he comes near her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">According to the report, Doherty declined to speak with officers, who arrested him on a domestic battery charge.
