John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate has completed major waterfront improvements at its Cape Coral office.

The improvements addressed wear from age and time on the water, including surface cracking in the seawall and pilings that had eroded below the waterline.

The proactive upgrades will keep the property safe, accessible and built for the long term.

Located near Southeast 46th Street, the office’s waterfront setting gives John R. Wood agents a distinctive advantage in serving customers interested in Gulf-access properties, including residences along canals with boating access to the Caloosahatchee River and beyond.

The project included the installation of 162 feet of new vinyl sheet piles in front of the existing seawall, along with a new, wider 20-inch cap poured along the length of the wall.

A new 4-by-25-foot landing dock was also added on the east side of the property, restoring boat access in an area where a dock existed several years ago.

“Our Cape Coral office is uniquely positioned on the water, with direct canal access to the river, and these improvements allow us to better serve agents and customers in a way that truly mirrors the market’s waterfront lifestyle,” John R. Wood President Corey McCloskey said. “For customers exploring Gulf-access homes, the ability to experience these neighborhoods by boat adds meaningful perspective. It also reinforces the importance of well-maintained seawalls and docks as part of long-term waterfront property value.”

The new dock allows agents to more safely and easily pull up by boat and take customers from the office to view waterfront homes and neighborhoods throughout the Cape’s Gulf-access canal system.

New access from the rear of the building, including steps down to the dock, is also underway.

The project was completed by Honc Marine Contracting.

Additional landscaping work is also planned, along with new signage and exterior lighting to highlight the dock and waterfront access for evening tours and events.
