After falling to Florida High in three sets earlier this season, the Timberwolves flipped the script at home, sweeping the Seminoles 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-21) in a non-conference matchup at Chiles on Military Appreciation Night, which featured a special appearance by the color guard.<\/p>\n
Florida High came out quickly in the opening set, taking an early 5-0 lead before Chiles settled in. The Timberwolves gradually worked their way back, tying the set at 11-11 before a strong serving stretch helped Chiles take its first lead at 18-17.<\/p>\n
From there, Chiles closed out the set behind consecutive kills from Sterling Carlile, taking the opener 25-19. It was a notable turnaround from the first meeting, when Florida High had been able to finish off Chiles in three sets.<\/p>\n
The Seminoles again jumped out to an early advantage in the second set, but Chiles responded with another run, building an 11-7 lead. Florida High struggled with a series of unforced errors, and Chiles extended its advantage to 13-8 before the Seminoles called timeout.<\/p>\n
Florida High fought back behind pressure at the service line and several blocks, cutting the deficit to 14-13. The Seminoles eventually took an 18-16 lead as the set tightened late.<\/p>\n
Chiles answered, however, with Logan Abernathy recording a kill to put the Timberwolves ahead 22-20. Chiles then closed out the set 25-21 following a Florida High net violation, moving within one set of the sweep.<\/p>\n
The Timberwolves carried that momentum into the third set, racing out to a 9-3 lead.<\/p>\n
Florida High refused to go quietly, using its serving pressure to cut the deficit to 16-15. Chiles eventually regained control during a long rally that ended with a roll shot from Channing Savoy, putting the Timberwolves ahead 22-17.<\/p>\n
The Seminoles made one final push, but Chiles finished the job, taking the third set 25-21 and completing the 3-0 sweep with set scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21.<\/p>\n

Carlile led Chiles offensively with 15 kills on 33 attacks. Avery Banks added 10 kills, while Savoy finished with nine kills. As a team, the Timberwolves recorded 43 kills and hit .236 for the match.<\/p>\n
Chiles also controlled the net defensively, finishing with 12 total blocks. Logan Abernathy led the Timberwolves with four blocks, while Savoy added three.<\/p>\n
The Timberwolves finished with 61 digs, led by Carlile\u2019s 16 and Riley Boykin\u2019s 12. Riley Warmath added 11 digs, while Maddie Messer recorded nine.<\/p>\n
Carlile also contributed three aces from the service line, with Savoy and Riley Boykin adding one each.<\/p>\n
