JSO confirms 2 crashes on Duval Station Road near the school<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office has confirmed that two crashes have been reported Thursday morning on Duval Station Road near First Coast High School.<\/p>\n

News4JAX has learned that one of the crashes involved an 11th-grade girl who was hit by a car while walking to school.<\/p>\n

She was taken to a hospital, but is expected to be OK.<\/p>\n

A viewer told News4JAX that she saw the teen sitting up after the crash, which happened a little after 7 a.m.<\/p>\n

The viewer expressed concerns over cars driving aggressively as students are crossing the road using the flashing lights system for pedestrians.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery day when I pick up my niece and nephew, cars get impatient and will pull right up on the kids walking. Drives me crazy,\u201d she told News4JAX.<\/p>\n
