In Leon County alone, the CSC could lose roughly $4.2 million over the two years.<\/p>\n
Cecka Rose Green, executive of the Children Services Council of Leon County, said the Children Services Councils will have to weigh what is most important for them to operate if Amendment 3 passes.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it passes, it will have a financial effect on what children\u2019s council services have the ability and services that have been traditionally funded by children service councils, not only in Leon but all across the state,\u201d Green said.<\/p>\n
Florida Politics:<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the leading lobbying group in favor of Amendment 3, the Florida Realtors, feel that if the amendment were to pass, state officials will make the best possible decisions for Floridians.<\/p>\n
Margy Grant, the CEO of the Florida Realtors, said Amendment 3\u2019s passage is a process.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne thing that people have to remember is that this is a two-step process in terms of our governance. Amendment 3 passing is step one. Step two is the implementation cycle and I have full faith and confidence in our elected state and local leaders that they are keep Florida shining and thriving as one of the great states in our nation,\u201d Grant said.<\/p>\n
Several other local services around the state, including the Pinellas County Juvenile Welfare Board and the Children\u2019s Trust of Alachua County, may also lose millions if Amendment 3 passes.<\/p>\n
