Two victims of Sunday\u2019s plane crash in Miami are being remembered as hardworking men, while the National Transportation Safety Board has released new details indicating the pilot raised concerns about the aircraft\u2019s speed before the crash. <\/p>\n
Attorney Jorge Gutierrez, who represents the families of Carlos Acosta Fajardo and Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, described the men as determined individuals, looking to support their families, who left their homes early Sunday morning to clean planes at the airport. <\/p>\n
\u201cTheir lives have been destroyed as a result of a series of decisions,\u201d Gutierrez said. <\/p>\n
Gutierrez shared that Fajardo was \u201ca great spouse, a great son for two parents,\u201d while Quevedo \u201chas a young daughter in Cuba.\u201d <\/p>\n
Gutierrez said his firm plans to conduct its own investigation into the crash, adding that litigation is likely to follow. <\/p>\n
On Monday, the family of Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, another victim of the crash, filed a wrongful death lawsuit alleging multiple failures led to the disaster. <\/p>\n
The NTSB has released new information from the cockpit voice recorder, revealing that moments before landing, one pilot expressed concern about the aircraft\u2019s excessive speed. The plane was traveling at 158 knots when it first hit the ground, officials say. <\/p>\n
Officials said a pilot then called for a \u201cgo around,\u201d aborted the landing, hit the throttles, and circled for another attempt. A crash followed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to look under every rock and see why this happened and who could have prevented it and what decisions were made that led to this catastrophe,\u201d Gutierrez said. <\/p>\n
A spokesperson for the airport told WPBF that it’s working to relocate the plane by dismantling it. New developments at the crash site include a crane working to relocate the plane by dismantling it. Airport officials said some parts were removed overnight, but there is no timeline for when the relocation will be completed.<\/p>\n
