(WCHS) \u2014 A Florida man wanted for a child sex crime was apprehended in West Virginia Thursday evening, federal investigators said.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Kyle Nichols, 37, of Bradenton is accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl and violating a court-ordered drug program, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.<\/p>\n<p>The release said Nichols, who was traveling under an alias, was taken into custody at a hotel in Dunbar after fleeing authorities in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Following the arrest, Nichols was arraigned by a Kanawha County Magistrate.<\/p>\n<p>Nichols is now awaiting extradition back to Florida inside South Central Regional Jail.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the US Marshals Service reported <a href=\"https:\/\/wchstv.com\/news\/local\/us-marshals-florida-murder-suspect-apprehended-at-kanawha-county-motel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a Florida murder suspect <\/a>was also apprehended in Dunbar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va.
