Man hospitalized after being hit by Casselberry police car<\/p>\n

\"Meaghan<\/a>CASSELBERRY, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n

A 37-year-old man was hit by a Casselberry police patrol car Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n

FHP said the crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. at N. Winter Park Drive and 7th Street in Casselberry.<\/p>\n

According to troopers, the marked Casselberry police car was traveling westbound on 7th Street and tried to turn left onto N. Winter Park Drive.<\/p>\n

Troopers say at the same time, the 37-year-old man was walking north in a marked crosswalk when the front of the patrol car hit him.<\/p>\n

The officer driving the patrol car told troopers they did not see the pedestrian in the crosswalk.<\/p>\n

The officer was not injured.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian, a man from Altamonte Springs, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
