A man accused of swinging a baseball bat at another driver during a road-rage encounter in Miami-Dade is facing charges, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The incident happened Thursday afternoon in the area of Southwest 147th Avenue and Southwest 104th Street.<\/p>\n
Authorities responded and met the victim, who said he was involved in a road-rage incident with the other man and said they both got out of their vehicles, an arrest report said.<\/p>\n
The victim said the other driver got out holding a baseball bat which he swung at him, hitting him in the arm, the report said.<\/p>\n
He said in self-defense he punched the suspect twice, knocking him to the ground.<\/p>\n
The suspect, 72-year-old Carlos Enrique Azuero, admitted to hitting the man with the bat and said he was punched several times, the report said.<\/p>\n
Both refused treatment at the scene but Azuero was later taken to a hospital for medical clearance.<\/p>\n
