GCG Week 4: Fort Myers beat Mariner 21-13 to win third straight game<\/p>\n

Fort Myers beat Mariner 21-13 in their Week 4 matchup as the Green Wave claimed their third win in a row.<\/p>\n

Fort Myers High defeated Mariner 21-13 in their Week 4 matchup.<\/p>\n

In their previous matchup, the Green Wave defeated the Tritons on a walk-off 70-yard touchdown, but a lot has changed since then, including the addition of two new head coaches on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

The Green Wave were able to forge ahead and maintain their lead thanks to a score from Kamarien McKay.<\/p>\n

However, their quarterback Anthony Mendes was injured earlier in the game and did not return, which turned the game into a defensive battle.<\/p>\n

Both teams traded possessions, but the Green Wave ultimately prevailed as they claimed their third straight victory.<\/p>\n

With the win, Fort Myers improves to 3-1 on the year, and it will go for its fourth win in 2026 as it faces Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Mariner Tritons will look to get back on track as they head to Island Coast on Sept. 18.<\/p>\n
