STUART \u2014 Martin County residents will have an opportunity to weigh in on the county\u2019s proposed millage rate during the first of two public hearings Tuesday, Sept. 15.<\/p>\n
The Martin County Board of County Commissioners will hold the hearing at 5:05 p.m. in the Commission Chambers on the first floor of the Administration Building, 2401 S.E. Monterey Road, Stuart.<\/p>\n
The Martin County Taxpayers Association is encouraging residents to attend, particularly those who want commissioners to consider rolling back the millage rate rather than keeping it at last year\u2019s level.<\/p>\n
The association noted that keeping the same millage rate can still result in higher tax revenue when property values increase.<\/p>\n
Residents who wish to address commissioners will need to complete a speaker form and are encouraged to arrive early.<\/p>\n
Overflow parking is available at the Blake Library parking lot.<\/p>\n
