The FPI measures team strength and is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance for the rest of the season; it shows how many points above or below average a team is. Each team is assigned a rating that measures its true strength on a net points scale as well as expected point margin versus an average opponent on a neutral field.<\/p>\n

Where Florida football ranks in ESPN’s Week 2 FPI<\/p>\n
The Gators moved up to No. 15 in ESPN’s FPI rankings after Week 2 with a rating of 16.2 \u2014 up from No. 17 and 15.5, respectively, last week. That rating puts them behind Penn State by 0.2 points and ahead of No. 16 Texas Tech by a mere 0.1 points.<\/p>\n
