TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A toasty start to the work week is on tap, but we are looking ahead to some comfortable conditions by midweek. Meteorologist Cameron Aaron explains. <\/p>\n
Tonight Through Monday Night<\/p>\n
Isolated downpours are possible for Sunday evening, but we are looking mostly dry and muggy for the overnight. Temperatures fall into the low-and-mid-70s under a mostly clear sky. Some areas of dense fog are possible. <\/p>\n
High pressure begins to control the forecast as we start the new work week. As a result, we are tracking lower rain chances and more steamy temperatures. <\/p>\n
A few showers or thunderstorms are possible for Monday afternoon and evening, especially further to the south and east. However, most of the region is looking drier and hotter. Highs reach the mid-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds. Heat index values climb into the low-100s, so be sure to stay cool if you\u2019re working outdoors. <\/p>\n
Stray showers will fade away after sunset, and we are looking mostly quiet for Monday night. Lows fall into the low-and-mid-70s under a mostly clear sky. <\/p>\n
Some Changes Ahead <\/p>\n
Tuesday\u2019s forecast will be very similar to Monday. For most of us, we are dry and hot. A few showers are possible, but rain chances stay rather low. Highs top out in the low-and-mid-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds, with heat index values in the low-100s. Overnight lows settle in the low-to-mid-70s. <\/p>\n
Wednesday is looking very comfortable for mid-September. Drier air will rush into the region, so the muggy meter is looking to tumble. It will still be warm with highs in the low-90s, but the humidity will be much more tolerable.<\/p>\n
A stray shower cannot be completely ruled out on Wednesday, but most are dry, mostly sunny and breezy. We are expecting winds to gust up to 25 mph at times. <\/p>\n
Many locations are set to dip into the upper-60s by Wednesday night. If this happens in Tallahassee, it will be the first low temperature below 70\u00ba since late June!<\/p>\n
Extended Forecast<\/p>\n
Another nice day looks to be on tap for Thursday. Humidity stays fairly low under some sunshine. A few downpours are possible, but most are looking dry and breezy. Again, winds could gust up to 25 mph. Highs top out in the low-90s, with lows in the low-70s. <\/p>\n
Enjoy the \u201cfall preview\u201d because moisture surges back as we end the week and move into next weekend. <\/p>\n
As moisture ramps up, rain chances follow. Scattered showers and storms will be possible for Friday and next weekend. <\/p>\n
Highs stay in the low-90s, and lows fall into the low-to-mid-70s. <\/p>\n
