ORLANDO, Fla. \u2013 A powerful cold front is expected to sweep through the region Sunday, bringing a round of storms and setting the stage for one of the coldest starts to a workweek so far this season. <\/p>\n
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible to develop through Sunday between 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. as the front approaches, with much colder air moving in behind it overnight. <\/p>\n
Showers and storms are forecast to pop up along the I-4 corridor and likely shift toward the I-95 corridor closer to Brevard County through the afternoon and evening. <\/p>\n
Rain chances stand between 30 and 40% for Sunday. There\u2019s also a dense fog advisory in effect for parts of Polk and Sumter counties until 9 a.m. Sunday, which could create tricky driving conditions for anyone out early.<\/p>\n
Central Florida is under a marginal risk zone for strong to severe thunderstorms on Sunday. The News 6 Weather graphics highlight this area in green, that storms may include lightning, wind gusts between 40 to 60 mph, small hail, and heavy rain.<\/p>\n

Monday morning will start in the 50s and 60s, but the real chill sets in early Tuesday with wake-up temperatures dipping into the 30s and 40s across Central Florida. Plus, expect brisk winds to drive wind chills even lower.<\/p>\n
Tuesday morning<\/p>\n
After the storms pass, the region won\u2019t just cool down\u2014it\u2019s going to feel downright frigid by Florida standards. Tuesday morning lows are forecast to be in the 30s and 40s, with wind chills dropping to the 20s and 30s in some spots. <\/p>\n
When you factor in the strong winds, it\u2019s going to put our wind chill temperatures in the 20s in a few locations. Areas north and west of I-4, including Marion and Sumter counties, face the greatest risk for freezing temperatures and frost. <\/p>\n
If you\u2019ve got sensitive plants or outdoor pets, now is the time to cover them up or bring them inside ahead of Monday night.<\/p>\n
