The Junior League of Tampa will bring candidates from federal, state and local races together Monday evening for a public meet-and-greet ahead of the November General Election.

The free event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Junior League’s headquarters, 87 Columbia Drive in Tampa.

The Junior League said it invited candidates running for federal and state office in Hillsborough and Pasco counties, along with candidates for Hillsborough County Commission and School Board.

Candidates or campaign representatives from a slate of Tampa Bay races are expected to attend, including contests for U.S. Senate, Florida Governor and Attorney General, as well as Florida’s 12th and 14th Congressional Districts. State legislative races represented include Senate District 14 and House Districts 64, 65, 67, 68, 69 and 70. Candidates or representatives from Hillsborough County Commission Districts 1, 3, 5 and 7 and Hillsborough County School Board Districts 2 and 6 are also expected.

The event will use a meet-and-greet format that allows voters to speak directly with candidates and gives attendees an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues important to them. Unlike a traditional candidate forum, the event fosters individual conversations between candidates and members of the public.

The Junior League, a nonpartisan organization, said the event is part of its effort to encourage residents to become more engaged in the civic process. The organization said the event builds on its 100-year history of encouraging women to understand the social, economic, educational and civic issues affecting their communities and turn that knowledge into community involvement, according to a news release.

The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office will also have volunteers at the event to help with voter registration and answer election-related questions.

The Junior League plans to host a second candidate meet-and-greet on Feb. 16, 2027, ahead of Tampa-area municipal elections. The two events are intended to give residents opportunities to learn more about candidates and community issues ahead of both the General Election and next year’s municipal contests.

Monday’s event is open to the public at no cost, though attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

The Junior League of Tampa will bring candidates from federal, state and local races together Monday evening for…

[10
143667,7912,3291,9129,4215,276,33192,4431,92310,1338,135,137,136,21491
post-400153","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-tampa","tag-2026-general-election","tag-florida-attorney-general","tag-florida-governor","tag-florida-house","tag-florida-senate","tag-hillsborough-county","tag-hillsborough-county-commission","tag-hillsborough-county-school-board","tag-junior-league-of-tampa","tag-pasco-county","tag-tampa","tag-tampa-headlines","tag-tampa-news","tag-u-s-senate
["GET
