Hispanic Heritage Month<\/a>, La Mar is making a comeback at Aventura in a new, limited-time pop-up!<\/p>\nThe beloved Brickell Key restaurant boasted one of the most stunning waterfront views and delicious Peruvian flavors before the hotel it resided in, the Mandarin Oriental, had to close for redevelopment. As the city awaits La Mar\u2019s return, acclaimed chef Diego Oka will bring its most beloved flavors to JARANA, but only for four nights.<\/p>\n
Known as La Mar Nights, the exclusive takeover will run every Saturday from September 19 through October 10, with a specialized three-course tasting menu. Guests will be seated in an intimate area donning signature La Mar decor, such as placemats, glassware and floral arrangements.<\/p>\n
The dinner will begin with complimentary chips and aj\u00ed amarillo sauce, followed by a daily amuse-bouche and the three-course menu, which includes:<\/p>\n
First Course (family-style)<\/p>\n
Causa Crab: Beet causa with king crab, avocado, smoked trout roe, huanca\u00edna sauce, cherry tomato and quail egg.<\/p>\n
Tiradito Lujoso: Japanese hamachi with blue crab chalaca, avocado, smoked trout roe, radish and roasted peppers.<\/p>\n
Cebiche Chifa: Peruvian trout with pickled vegetables, cilantro, scallions, sesame oil, peanuts and crispy noodles.<\/p>\n
Second Course (individual)<\/p>\n
Conchitas Oka: Oka\u2019s take on the classic, featuring two grilled jumbo scallops with 24-month-aged Parmesan, Parmesan foam, lime and garlic crumbs.<\/p>\n
Third Course (family-style)<\/p>\n
El Achupado: Bucatini with grouper, calamari, octopus and shrimp in a chupe sauce with rocoto, tomatoes and huacatay.<\/p>\n
Whole Fish: A 1.5-pound crispy, deboned yellowtail snapper chicharr\u00f3n drizzled with Nikkei sauce and served with white chaufa rice.<\/p>\n

La Mar Nights<\/p>\n
Oka\u2019s connection to La Mar spans more than two decades and several cities, starting with the original Lima location and continuing through La Mar kitchens around the world. In 2014, that experience was brought to Miami, opening and leading the space throughout its celebrated 11-year run.<\/p>\n
