Floraf\u00eate Bouquet Bar will have custom arrangements and a wine and coffee bar, all under one roof.<\/p>\n

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. \u2014 Floraf\u00eate Bouquet Bar will soon move into its permanent home in downtown St. Pete, where morning coffee and evening wine will be served alongside custom flower arrangements.<\/p>\n

The floral design business, founded by Lucy Watkins, has plans to open this fall at 400 Beach Drive, Suite 173 in downtown St. Pete. It will be taking the place of the Savory Spice Shop, which permanently closed in 2024.<\/p>\n

According to Watkins, Floraf\u00eate will have a build-your-own bouquet bar along with traditional custom arrangements and signature bouquets. The shop will also host flower-arranging workshops and classes.<\/p>\n

Customers will also be able to enjoy wine, beer, coffee, and appetizers. Watkins says special events and private gatherings can also be hosted at the shop, and there will be a selection of gifts and floral-inspired merchandise.<\/p>\n

“The idea is really to create a place where people can come for the flowers, but stay for the experience,” Watkins said.<\/p>\n

There will be three membership levels, Watkins says, and each tier will have its own “mix of floral perks, drinks, events and member-only benefits.”<\/p>\n

Watkins says they are targeting late October or early November for opening, but there isn’t yet an exact date; the Floraf\u00eate team is still working through the final permitting and build-out process.<\/p>\n

She began the business as a pop-up cart across the Tampa Bay area in 2021 after visiting her hometown of Miami and passing a flower cart on the sidewalk in South Beach.<\/p>\n

“Flower vendors are all over Miami, but this one was different because you could build your own bouquet from a variety of stems. I had never seen that concept before, and I decided to bring it to our area!” Watkins said.<\/p>\n

The business has since grown into a full-service floral design company, working out of Watkins’ home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before becoming a florist, Watkins worked in hospitality, where she says that she learned how to create memorable experiences for guests through service, atmosphere, and “how a place makes you feel.”<\/p>\n
