Northside-Jacksonville scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to defeat Laney 28-7 in a Tuesday night high school football game.<\/p>\n
The game was rescheduled after both teams missed their Week 1 matchup because of rain.<\/p>\n
Laney took a 7-0 halftime lead on a touchdown run by Jackson Cosimo. Northside-Jacksonville answered in the second half as junior quarterback Reginald Gray III scored on a rushing touchdown to put the Monarchs ahead 7-6.<\/p>\n
Anderson added a touchdown run to extend the lead, while Daniel Wisnewski helped the defense with a sack. Gray later connected with Jamian Johnson for a touchdown as the Monarchs completed the comeback.<\/p>\n
Northside-Jacksonville improved to 4-0 in a 28-7 victory.<\/p>\n
In the latest News 12 high school football poll, J.H. Rose remained No. 1, followed by Northside-Jacksonville at No. 2 and Croatan at No. 3. East Duplin moved to No. 4, followed by Swansboro, Martin County, Northside of Beaufort County, Jacksonville, New Bern, James Kenan, Tarboro and North Duplin.<\/p>\n
