<\/p>\nA Florida elementary school teacher was arrested after multiple students told investigators he showed them nude photos and videos of people having sex — as well as allegedly touched them inappropriately or tried to kiss them, according to police.<\/p>\n

Online records from Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation<\/a> (MDCR) identified the suspect as 53-year-old Cesar Oriol Cardoso<\/a>. He was taken into custody on Friday after refusing to speak with Miami-Dade Schools Police investigators about the allegations, the documents show.<\/p>\n The investigation began in April after several students at Sunset Park Elementary School said Cardoso showed them explicit images and touched them inappropriately, per the documents.<\/p>\n The students told detectives Cardoso pulled them from classes or lunch and brought them to his classroom, where they said he displayed the images and videos on his cellphone, authorities said. <\/p>\n “[A student] disclosed that on another occasion, she was standing next to Cardoso’s desk and was shown a video depicting two naked adult females, kissing on the bed,” according to the documents. “[The student] further reported there was another video shown to her, depicting an adult female laying down on her back on a bed, with her legs open, with a male between the ages of 12\/14 years old, performing cunnilingus.”<\/p>\n Another student said Cardoso showed her an image in which he was naked and his genitals were exposed, according to the documents. A third student said he told her “he wanted to kiss her on the mouth,” while a former student told investigators he said he wanted to kiss her before leaning toward her.<\/p>\n Police records noted Cardoso apologized when one student asked why he was showing her the images. <\/p>\n Students also accused Cardoso of touching their hair, arms, thighs, waist, chest, and buttocks. <\/p>\n “Cardoso approached them, slapped both students on the buttocks and in a playful tone, told them that if they continued misbehaving, he would hit them on the butt,” police said in the documents, adding that one student told authorities she pushed his hand away when he allegedly tried to touch her upper thigh or buttocks.<\/p>\n Authorities said Cardoso was charged with “offenses against students by authority figures,” showing obscene material to a minor, and lewd and lascivious conduct on a child under 16.
