TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A Tallahassee postal worker arrested in July<\/a> has pleaded guilty to mail theft charges, according to a press release by the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office of the Northern District of Florida. <\/p>\n

Records show that 43-year-old NaPeaches Blair pleaded guilty to two counts of theft by mail by a postal employee. Blair was reportedly an employee with the U.S. Postal Service for about 8 years.<\/p>\n

Authorities found that in Dec. last year, while working, Blair took gift cards from two envelopes and used them at a Tallahassee store and a Quincy gas station. Blair was arrested later in July after being seen opening a letter, taking $1,000 in cash from it and putting the empty letter in the outgoing mail basket, per previous coverage<\/a>.<\/p>\n

More gift cards were discovered after a search of Blair\u2019s car and several victims whose gift cards had been intercepted by Blair were reportedly identified. <\/p>\n

According to the press release, Blair was seen on surveillance footage using the stolen gift cards at various locations while dressed in her Postal employee uniform.<\/p>\n

Blair is facing up to five years in prison for each count of mail theft.<\/p>\n
