WHAT TO WATCH FOR<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0A Tampa Bay victory\u00a0on Sunday would\u00a0be notable for General Manager Jason Licht in that it would be the team’s 100th\u00a0victory, including playoffs, since he stepped into his current post in 2014. He would become the first general manager in franchise history to reach 100 wins.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Baker Mayfield is three touchdown passes away from reaching 200 in his career in the regular season. He could become just the 16th quarterback in NFL annals to hit that mark in 125 or fewer games played.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Mayfield climbed up two spots on the Bucs’ all-time pass completions chart in Week One, increasing his total to\u00a01,137 and thus passing\u00a0Trent Dilfer (1,117) for fifth place\u00a0and\u00a0Vinny Testaverde (1,126) for fourth\u00a0place. With another\u00a0eight completions on\u00a0Sunday\u00a0he would also move past\u00a0Josh Freeman (1,144)\u00a0into\u00a0third\u00a0place.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Safety Antoine Winfield Jr. has nine career interceptions. With one more, he would become just the 16th defensive back in NFL history to combine 10 interceptions with\u00a0at least 15 sacks and at least 500 tackles. Only five of those 16 were able to do so in their first seven seasons: Bill Bates, Dave Duerson, Rondey Harrison, Derwin James and Adrian Wilson.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Rookie linebacker Josiah Trotter notably became the first player in NFL history to record a pick-six and a sack in his first career game. [He has] great routes and is always going to get open. [He has] consistent hands. [He has] kind of just everything you want out of a wide receiver. [He] just makes us that much more difficult to guard. I think we have a lot of dynamic pieces. You talk about Bucky [Irving] in the way that he not only ran the\u00a0ball, but\u00a0caught the ball to the backfield. Kenny [Gainwell] being able to do the same thing,\u00a0run\u00a0and\u00a0catch\u00a0out of the backfield. Then obviously our receivers being super dynamic in that way. We have a quarterback who’s able to rush the ball the way he does and a tight end who can’t go under the radar either. We have a lot of pieces. Obviously, we got behind in the\u00a0score\u00a0[and] we had to throw a little bit more than we wanted to.
