(WSVN) &#8211; Crews have repaired a road in Northwest Miami-Dade where <a href=\"https:\/\/wsvn.com\/news\/local\/miami-dade\/small-sinkhole-opens-up-beneath-semi-truck-in-nw-miami-dade-shutting-down-79th-st-and-disrupting-metrorail-service\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a small sinkhole opened up<\/a>, leading to a road closure and the temporary interruption of Metrorail service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sinkhole, located along Northwest 79th Street, near 30th Avenue, caught the front wheel of a tractor-trailer, which was spotted wedged in the ground by 7Skyforce, Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sinkhole prompted the closure of 79th Street between 27th and 32nd avenues. It also led to the interruption of Metrorail\u2019s Green Line service between the Palmetto and Brownsville stations for several hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The road reopened in time for Thursday\u2019s morning traffic rush. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Sunbeam Television Corp.
