STORM will launch its fourth spot at 2600 4th St. N. in St. Pete before Nov 1. The Tampa-based drink shop sells 32-ounce electrolyte beverages in over 20 flavors plus plant-based protein shakes.<\/p>\n
The new shop will take over where Grand Kitchen and Bath once stood. That business is moving to the building’s opposite side. Customers can pick drinks with zero caffeine, half caffeine at 90 milligrams, or full caffeine at 185 milligrams.<\/p>\n
Founder Molly Mills grew up in St. Pete. She wanted to start the company’s first shop there. But Mills and her fianc\u00e9, Cole Schaller, couldn’t find a space near downtown they could pay for as a new business.<\/p>\n
Mills and Schaller opened the first spot at 3401 S. MacDill Ave. in Tampa back in 2021 with $16,000 between them. Since then, the company added two more \u2014 one in Westshore and another near the University of Tampa.<\/p>\n
The drinks begin with an in-house electrolyte and vitamin mix. Each contains vitamins B6 and B12, calcium, magnesium, zinc, chloride, Himalayan pink salt, sodium, potassium, green tea extract, and ginseng root extract.<\/p>\n
The top seller are the Sugar Daddy blend of coconut, strawberry, kiwi, and lemon. St. Croix mixes coconut, blue raspberry, and lemon. Other favorites are Blueberry Acai and Tropical Paradise with strawberry, kiwi, and banana.<\/p>\n
The protein shakes use a six-ingredient plant-based blend. It’s made with pea protein, MCT, brown rice protein, agave inulin, sodium chloride, and stevia extract. Menu items span Peanut Butter Cup, Banana Bread, Strawberry Banana, and Peanut Butter Coffee.<\/p>\n
Mills built the concept after finding limited post-workout options. She kept running into smoothies, sugary coffee drinks, or canned energy drinks.<\/p>\n
