TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Sunshine Health Tallahassee and Farm Share unveiled a new co-branded truck at the community center on South Monroe. <\/p>\n
September is Hunger Action Month, and they are using this partnership to raise awareness about food insecurity in the capital city.<\/p>\n
Every third Thursday, the community is invited to receive free nutritious items, like water, beans, meat and more.<\/p>\n
Organizers said this is a great reminder to those in need that help is available.<\/p>\n

Menetta Gardner, Sunshine Health Supervisor of Community Outreach and Public Relations, said that the organization wants to ensure that the community is aware of where they are and what resources they provide.<\/p>\n
\u201cTallahassee is a big community,\u201d Gardner said. \u201cWe want to make sure we have visibility throughout the community so people know where to come if they\u2019re in need.\u201d<\/p>\n
This partnership started back in 2022 and since then, more than 100,000 people have been fed throughout Florida. <\/p>\n
