{"id":404096,"date":"2026-09-19T00:04:34","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T00:04:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/404096\/"},"modified":"2026-09-19T00:04:34","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T00:04:34","slug":"jacksonville-launches-jaxstablehousing-org-for-duval-renters-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/404096\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacksonville launches jaxstablehousing.org for Duval renters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 The City of Jacksonville and Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) announced on Friday the launch of<a href=\"http:\/\/jaxstablehousing.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"http:\/\/jaxstablehousing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/jaxstablehousing.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"http:\/\/jaxstablehousing.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">jaxstablehousing.org<\/a>, an online rental registry for Duval County where renters can check if a property has code enforcement violations or evictions. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe can\u2019t make landlords register for anything in Florida, but we can help bring some transparency to the rental process by helping you learn more about where you are renting, or in particular, where you want to rent,\u201d said Jim Kowalski, CEO and President of Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">JALA got access to all of this data through a public records request. They will be in charge of operating this database. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/live-breaking\/\" target=\"_blank\">&gt;&gt;&gt; STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE &lt;&lt;&lt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">This tool is something Tiajuana Bell-Williams wished she had when she was moving to Jacksonville. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cFrom a renter\u2019s perspective, I think it\u2019s good, especially relocating to a city that you don\u2019t know, with all the military people we have coming.
