TALLAHASSEE, Fla. \u2013 In the Florida state capital, Jacksonville cross country was at it again, this time at the NCAA Pre-Regional hosted by Florida State. And it was once again Isabel DeVos<\/a> leading the charge for the Dolphins.<\/p>\n

DeVos finished 30th\u00a0overall with a time of 22:30.4. She was less than one minute off pace to break her personal best in the 6000m. Among JU student-athletes, she had the best finish and was the fourth highest finishing ASUN cross country runner, just three seconds behind a runner from FGCU in 29th.<\/p>\n

Behind DeVos was freshman Kyla Perez, racing in just her second collegiate meet. Perez finished 85th\u00a0with a time of 23:39.7. It was her first time running the 6K.<\/p>\n

Inside the top-100, Alexis Holmes<\/a> earned 97th\u00a0place behind a time of 23:54.1. The junior from Jacksonville was less than 40 seconds off her personal best time in the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rounding out the Dolphin contingency was freshman Kiara Rakes<\/a>, too racing in the first 6K of her career. Rakes set her new career mark in the event with a time of 25:13.2, finishing in 152nd place.<\/p>\n

With its four runners, Jacksonville as a team finished in 16th place among 28 teams. It was the third best finish among ASUN schools.<\/p>\n
