{"id":405629,"date":"2026-09-20T19:44:23","date_gmt":"2026-09-20T19:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/405629\/"},"modified":"2026-09-20T19:44:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-20T19:44:23","slug":"nu-stadium-announced-as-host-for-final-phase-of-fifa-womens-champions-cup-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/405629\/","title":{"rendered":"Nu Stadium Announced as Host for Final Phase of FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup 2027\u2122"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last-four showdowns, bronze final and trophy decider to be contested at Nu Stadium  <\/p>\n<p>Mexico\u2019s Club Am\u00e9rica Femenil and Spanish outfit FC Barcelona Femen\u00ed assured of final-stage berths  <\/p>\n<p>Intercontinental women\u2019s club champions to be crowned in Floridian city next January<\/p>\n<p>FIFA announced today that Nu Stadium is set to host the Final phase of the FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup\u2122, welcoming a quartet of the leading women\u2019s clubs on the planet as they compete in the decisive stage of next year\u2019s edition of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Nu Stadium will host the last-four encounters, the bronze final and the tournament decider, which will determine the winners of the second installment of the competition following Arsenal Women FC\u2019s triumph in last year\u2019s inaugural iteration.<\/p>\n<p>The city of Miami is no stranger to hosting FIFA\u2019s global events, having provided the backdrop for eight matches at the maiden FIFA Club World Cup\u2122 last year and seven games at the FIFA World Cup\u2122 held this past June and July. The Magic City is now gearing up to welcome women\u2019s football fans from across the globe to the Club\u2019s state-of-the-art new home, which was opened this past April.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement of the international competition builds on Nu Stadium\u2019s impressive inaugural year, including a sold-out Haiti-Peru match in June that marked the first-ever international friendly at the Club\u2019s new home. The announcement also comes on the heels of an action-packed summer in which Inter Miami\u2019s facilities \u2013 the Florida Blue Training Center, Nu Stadium and Inter Miami CF Stadium \u2013 were the most utilized facilities by national teams. Miami provides a perfect setting to showcase the quality and global appeal of women\u2019s club football. I can\u2019t wait to see who rises to the occasion and lifts what is a stunning trophy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before the action gets under way in Miami, the competition will kick off with the Round 1 tie between the AFC titlists and their OFC counterparts. The winners of that showdown will advance to Round 2, where they will pit their wits against the CAF champions. Further details on these two rounds are provided in the \u201cRoad to glory\u201d section below.<\/p>\n<p>The competition will then head stateside to Nu Stadium, where the Round 2 victors will face the Concacaf champions in the semi-finals. In the other last-four bout, the UEFA title holders will go head to head with the CONMEBOL conquerors.<\/p>\n<p>Those on the stands and the watching world will be treated to a mouth-watering double-header on Sunday, 31 January, when the bronze final is set to take place ahead of the trophy decider. The match schedule will be released in due course.  <\/p>\n<p>The FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup brings together the six reigning continental champions in a competition that determines the best women\u2019s club team in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Before the final phase in Miami, rounds 1 and 2 will be contested next month and in December respectively. In the tournament curtain-raiser, AFC Women\u2019s Champions League holders Naegohyang Women\u2019s FC will meet Auckland United FC, who tasted glory in the OFC Women\u2019s Champions League earlier this year. The venue and date of the match will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n<p>The side that prevail in that contest will square off against the CAF Women\u2019s Champions League winners in Round 2. Whoever comes out on top in that encounter will progress to the final stage at NU Stadium, where they will do battle for intercontinental glory with Concacaf titlists Club Am\u00e9rica Femenil, UEFA Women\u2019s Champions League holders FC Barcelona Femen\u00ed and the CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina winners.<\/p>\n<p>Approved by the FIFA Council in May 2024, the FIFA Women\u2019s Champions Cup is held in years when the FIFA Women\u2019s Club World Cup\u2122 is not scheduled.
