The Jacksonville Jaguars got the ball first to start the second half after closing out the first half with a last second field goal to extend their lead over the Denver Broncos. Perhaps Sean Payton should have deferred like most teams do these days when they win the coin toss.<\/p>\n
A pitch to Bhayshul Tuten immediately gained 16 yards for the Jaguars to start their next drive and then fired a bullet to Parker Washington for another first down. That put Washington at 7 catches for 98 yards in the game. From the Broncos 35-yard line, Tuten would rip off another 11 yards. That would be three straight plays of 10+ yards for the Jaguars to open up the second half.<\/p>\n
The drive would end in a field goal after being aided by an ill-advised unnecessary roughness call on Alex Singleton. The defense was fortunate to come up with the goal line stop.<\/p>\n
Needing a big drive, the Broncos were in danger of going three and out when Bo Nix found Jaylen Waddle open for a first down. Waddle then turned it upfield for another 10 yards. Then a double-reverse to Pat Bryant gained 15 yards into field goal range and that\u2019s where the drive would stall out.<\/p>\n
Wil Lutz would boot it through from 45-yards out.<\/p>\n
It felt like momentum was on the Jacksonville\u2019s side despite the trading of field goals. They had again gotten across midfield, but on a third and six the Trevor Lawrence pass to Parker Washington was short and Riley Moss came down with the interception at the Denver 35 yard line.<\/p>\n
With the third quarter winding down, the Broncos offense had good field position and needing a touchdown to tie the game up.
