The Cape Coral VA Clinic Expansion to a Full-Service Hospital Committee envisions a nine-story, 200-bed hospital at the existing Diplomat Parkway site. The project is estimated to cost $700 million to $1.1 billion. Committee Chairman Dr. Alan White said congressional approval and federal funding would be required. The group says more than 114,000 veterans live in Southwest Florida, with some traveling about 2\u00bd hours for inpatient services.
